Metris Feed Dryer ACE is a centralized Model Predictive Control system built to optimize dryer operations in the animal feed and aquafeed industry. Operating from a dedicated server, Feed Dryer ACE applies BrainWave® MPC technology to stabilize process variability, ensure consistent product quality, and improve operational efficiency across the drying line.

BrainWave® MPC predicts future process behavior and makes real-time adjustments to prevent deviations from set points. This delivers tighter moisture control, more consistent pellet and kibble quality, and higher throughput compared to conventional PID control. The system automatically adapts to recipe changes and variations in pellet or kibble size, maintaining consistent drying performance without manual retuning between product runs.

Feed Dryer ACE manages real-time control of dryer temperature, belt speed (retention time), bed depth, airflow, and humidity based on the active recipe. Historian data archiving captures all dryer variables for performance tracking and process optimization. The solution covers both the extruder and dryer control loops in a single integrated system.

The standard package includes one Feed Dryer ACE application with complete installation for Extruder and Dryer control loops; ACE and Metris software licensing; engineering services, commissioning support, remote support, training, and on-site work; remote and VPN access to the ACE server; a server configured and pretested at ANDRITZ with minimum 8-core processor, 64 GB RAM, 450 GB SSD, and Windows Server 2019 or Windows 10 LTSC; travel and living expenses for one on-site trip of up to two weeks; and one year of Premium Software Maintenance and Support Plan, effective from the signature of the Take Over Certificate (TOC).
