ANDRITZ Flow Coating Control combines ANDRITZ process and machine expertise with precise automation of post-pellet liquid application, helping achieve consistent dosing, reliable operation and uniform product quality. It can operate as a standalone control solution or integrate seamlessly into an ANDRITZ plant control system.
ANDRITZ Flow Coating Control is an automation solution designed specifically for post-pellet liquid application and micro-fluid coating processes. Built on ANDRITZ's process and machine expertise, it combines precise dosing, coordinated process control and automated operating sequences to support consistent application, reliable operation and repeatable product quality.
The solution coordinates the flow of pellets with the application of liquids such as fats, oils, enzymes and other additives. Liquid addition is controlled in relation to actual product flow, allowing the required amount of additive to be applied consistently even when production capacity changes. The control is based on real-time product-flow calculation and liquid-flow percentage setpoints, as well as separate controls for oil/fat and enzyme dosing.
ANDRITZ Flow Coating Control can operate as a standalone control solution or as an integrated process module within an ANDRITZ plant control system. Its centralized architecture can also support multiple machine-control modules from a common operator environment, providing a scalable solution for plants with several process lines. The management-system architecture supports up to four controls, and ANDRITZ's broader machine-control platform is intended to allow modules such as Pelleting and Flow Coating to work together.
